A small grease fire turned into…a big mess. The cooks extinguished the fire but it seems that the automatic fire suppression system may not have functioned properly. The fire in the duct then burst a sprinkler in the offices above and the rain began to fall through the dining room down into the Steelgaarden. What a mess!

[UPDATE 12/7/08] Everything has been cleaned up and is ready for some minor repairs to the Steelgaarden and some major repairs in the kitchen. It will be a week or more until there will be burgers cooking at Bethlehem Brew Works. We hope to have a limited menu and full bar service in the next day or two.

[UPDATE 12/11/08] Bethlehem Brew Works will RE-OPEN on Friday, December 12th at 4:00pm. We will be offering a limited full-service food menu. The beer will be pouring again! All bars will be open until 2:00am.

[UPDATE 1/2/09] We are still serving a limited menu but the current “Fire” menu selections manage to cover-all-the-bases. We have plenty of “cold” food selections and we are adding more “hot” selections to accommodate for not having burgers and fries! You can view our “Fire” menu here.

Our new hood and equipment has been ordered. We are hoping to start re-construction before the end of January 2009. We may have to close for a day or two but we are planning for a Grand Re-Opening sometime early February 2009.

[UPDATE 2/11/09] Bethlehem Brew Works will be closed for repairs and renovations starting on Sunday, February 15th, 2009. We anticipate being closed at least a week. Please check back here for updates during construction. We will update you with the re-opening date.
