Years in the making, our restaurant is a testament to the bright future of this great city and its downtown atmosphere.

Allentown was founded in 1762 by William Allen; a wealthy shipping merchant who purchased land from the sons of William Penn. Allen’s son built a hunting lodge named Trout Hall, which is now the home of our Lehigh County Historical Society. During America’s War for Independence, the Liberty Bell was hidden in the basement of the Old Zion Reformed Church just a few blocks away! In the late 1800’s, the Adalaide Silk Mill (just down the street by American Parkway) was opened and the city fathers had high hopes for the silk trade. By 1928 some 8,250 people were employed in over 85 textile plants in Allentown. Silk became the largest industry in the “Queen City”, and remained so well into the 20th century. During the great retail era of the “All American City”, the legendary Hess’s department store was located right across the street from where we are currently located. During this period, Harold’s Furniture showroom and warehouse was a thriving outlet for American made goods. And that is where we are right now…the dining areas of the Allentown Brew Works are the new “showrooms” on Hamilton and our kitchens are in the separate “warehouse” building along Maple Street. We invite you to enjoy our “All American” cuisine that’s fit for a “Queen City.”
